My Mom Arrives in Bolivia
Last night, my mom arrived in La Paz at 1 o'clock. Although she'll be visiting for the week, which includes Bolivian Independence Day celebrations on Friday, while I am at work today and tomorrow, Vivi is taking my mom out on the town. Since my mom doesn't speak Spanish and Vivi doesn't speak English, this should be an interesting couple of days. They are both excited to meet the other. Thus, they are both armed with pocket dictionaries in their purses and I've offered the advice of acting things out, like in charades, when if they get stuck on important words. If only I could watch their interactions...
