Mucha Trucha: Our Adventures in Lake Titicaca and on the Island of the Sun

The view from the highest point on the Isla del Sol.

We had to cross a small strip of the lake on the way to Copacobana. Our bus had to take a separate boat.

My company is subcontracted to install telecommunication infrastructure across the country. This includes bringing cell phone access to the most remote parts of the Amazon, the Andes, and the deserts. Entel (the state owned telecoms company) posts their slogan everywhere: "Uniting Bolivia, Developing the Future." Creating access to the outside world is one of the surest ways to boost commerce.
