RASHEEEEEEEEEEED

Spending four years in Michigan, I began to hold some affection for the Detroit Pistons.  For the majority of my time there, the Celtics were a non-factor in the Eastern Conference, so the 'Stones weren't really in direct competition with the home town favorites.  In my mind, Rasheed Wallace, Chauncey Billups, and Rip Hamilton will always represent a dominantly balanced, team-oriented basketball franchise.  Now, as the Celts hope to create a similar atmosphere, Sheed, a three point monster with pure-baller swagger and enthusiasm, ventures to Boston to help the NBA's winningest team capture #18 this upcoming season. Rasheed Wallace wants another ring and realistically understands his current role on a Championship team. Rasheed will generate an additional threat on the floor (which is of ever growing importance with an aging Big Three) and provide the city with a new source of entertainment and pride. Boston will rally behind a man who earns emotion laced technicals, banks clutch half-court shots, and with his presence, draws defenders and alleviates pressure from the Big Three. 'Sheed is just what the Celtics need. Welcome to Boston Mr. Wallace.
